Dr. Anthony Adindu Nwala is an accomplished medical manager, public health specialist, and a stalwart in the healthcare services sector. With a distinguished educational background, including a Doctor of Medicine (MD), a Master’s in Public Health (MPH), and a Business Administration (MBA) degree, he brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the Bashir Foundation for Fistula and Women’s Health.
With over two decades of experience in the public health sector and non-profit healthcare management, Dr. Anthony Nwala has established an extensive network of colleagues, partners, and stakeholders in the health industry in Nigeria. His remarkable leadership abilities, fortified by his status as a Leadership Fellow, are evident in his exceptional team-building skills, staff development, motivation, and supervision. Dr. Anthony’s advocacy efforts are equally compelling.
His professional journey is marked by a profound understanding of project life cycles and development methodologies. Dr. Anthony has been involved in initiatives supported by renowned organizations such as USAID, FCDO, CIFF, BMGF, GCC, FHI360, WHO, and other bilateral donors. His involvement has spanned private international donor-funded projects with a dedicated focus on social marketing, HIV/AIDS, Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), and maternal health.
For more than a decade, Dr. Anthony Nwala has served in the public sector and collaborated closely with the Nigerian Federal Ministry of Health and various State Ministries of Health. His contributions to the development of health policies have played a pivotal role in fortifying the healthcare landscape in Nigeria.
